Time Table Policy

Mides Academy Timetable Policy

1. Purpose

The timetable policy ensures an organized and efficient schedule for all students and staff at Mides Academy. It aims to promote productivity, minimize disruptions, and ensure a balanced learning experience.

2. Timetable Structure

  • Each school day follows a structured timetable with designated time slots for different subjects, breaks, and extracurricular activities.
  • Lesson durations are standardized to maintain consistency across all year groups.
  • The timetable includes time for assemblies, registration, and teacher planning.

3. Attendance and Punctuality

  • Students and teachers must adhere strictly to the timetable.
  • Late arrivals disrupt lessons and are subject to disciplinary action.
  • Attendance is recorded electronically for every class period using the school management system.

4. Changes and Adjustments

  • Timetable changes due to school events, examinations, or emergencies will be communicated in advance.
  • Temporary adjustments (e.g., for substitute teachers) must be approved by school management.

5. Subject Allocations

  • Subjects are evenly distributed to ensure a balanced workload.
  • Core subjects (Mathematics, English, Science) receive priority scheduling.
  • Elective and extracurricular activities are scheduled to avoid clashes with academic subjects.

6. Free Periods and Breaks

  • Students in senior years may have free study periods, which must be used for academic purposes.
  • Breaks and lunch periods are fixed to prevent overcrowding in common areas.

7. Teacher Responsibilities

  • Teachers must follow their assigned timetables and be present in class on time.
  • Any requests for timetable changes must go through the school administration.

8. Student Responsibilities

  • Students must check their timetables regularly and be prepared for each lesson.
  • Any timetable conflicts must be reported to the school office.

9. Enforcement and Review

  • The timetable policy is enforced by school administrators and reviewed periodically.
  • Any violations will be addressed according to the school's disciplinary procedures.
