Beginning of a High-Impact Academic Week

Mides Elite Academy enters another important and focused academic week as students continue to build momentum during the Summer Term. This period is particularly significant as assessments, revision, and final preparations intensify across all year groups.

Staff remain committed to maintaining a structured, supportive, and disciplined learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. High expectations in attendance, punctuality, and classroom engagement continue to be reinforced throughout the academy.

Academic Progress and Classroom Learning

Key Stage 3 Overview (Years 7–9)

Students in Key Stage 3 are continuing their structured learning programmes, with a strong emphasis on consolidating knowledge and developing key academic skills. Ongoing assessments in English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, and Computing are being used to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.

Teachers are providing detailed feedback and differentiated support to ensure that all learners are progressing effectively. Students are encouraged to actively participate in lessons, ask questions, and demonstrate consistent effort in all subjects.

Key Stage 4 Overview (Years 10–11)

GCSE preparation continues to be the central focus for Key Stage 4 students. Year 10 students are completing key coursework components and controlled assessments that contribute significantly to their final grades.

Year 11 students are now entering a critical revision phase, with targeted intervention sessions taking place across core and option subjects. These sessions are designed to strengthen exam technique, improve subject understanding, and boost confidence ahead of final examinations.

Subject Focus and Intervention Sessions

This week, particular attention is being given to core subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Combined Science, alongside Humanities subjects such as History and Geography, and option subjects including Business Studies and Creative Media.

Additional support sessions are being delivered before school, during lunch, and after school to ensure that students receive the guidance they need. Attendance at these sessions is strongly encouraged, particularly for Year 11 students.

Celebration Assembly and Student Recognition

The weekly Celebration Assembly remains a key highlight of school life at Mides Elite Academy. On Friday, students will be recognised for their achievements, effort, and positive contributions to the school community.

Awards will include recognition for excellent attendance, outstanding academic progress, positive behaviour, leadership, and consistent effort. This continues to reinforce the school’s commitment to celebrating success and encouraging high standards.

Attendance, Punctuality, and Expectations

Maintaining high levels of attendance and punctuality remains a top priority. Students are expected to arrive at school on time each day, fully prepared with the correct equipment and ready to engage in learning.

Full school uniform must be worn correctly at all times. Staff will continue to monitor standards closely to ensure a consistent and professional environment across the academy.

Physical Education and Student Wellbeing

The PE department continues to support student wellbeing through a variety of physical activities including football, basketball, athletics training, and fitness development sessions.

Participation in PE lessons remains essential, and students are reminded to attend with the correct kit and demonstrate full engagement in all activities.

Creative Arts and Enrichment

Students in Art and Media continue to produce impressive work through ongoing design projects and digital assignments. These subjects provide valuable opportunities for creativity, innovation, and personal expression.

Outstanding student work will continue to be recognised through the school’s Student Talent Spotlight initiative, showcasing creativity and excellence across the academy.
